Ep. 24 Bitcoin Mining Supporting Nuclear Power

On today's show I have on Ryan Macleod, a Laboratory Technologist working at the Canadian Nuclear Labs in Ontario Canada. Ryan performs analyses for reactor safety and R&D projects that look into other ways to preserve the lifespan and safety of nuclear reactors. In addition to that, Ryan is a huge bitcoin and bitcoin mining advocate and has presented his ideas and ways to add bitcoin mining to the operations of a nuclear reactor. He has nearly a decade of experience in nuclear technology and chemistry analysis and couples that with his passion for bitcoin and bitcoin mining.

During today’s show, we have a wide-ranging conversation about a number of topics pertaining to nuclear power. We discuss the positive things that are happening in the world of nuclear technology and how excited Ryan is to see so much optimism in the industry as of late; we do a deep dive on what small modular reactors are and how they work; we talk through how bitcoin mining is alleviating the cost burden of building out new SMR’s and lastly we wrap up with how bitcoin mining is going to continue to vertically integrate into energy generation companies. This discussion is wild and a great look into the world of nuclear power and how bitcoin mining can be a powerful tool for the industry moving forward.
